At Cookies Campers, (as with most campervan rental companies), we require a security deposit/insurance excess in case of damage to the vehicle. The security deposit will be charged to your card on arrival. We offer a range of packages to reduce the security deposit/insurance excess and also include some of the extras you might like to include.
It is important that you are comfortable with your level of liability in the event of damage to the vehicle.

The security deposit/insurance excess covers the cost of any loss or damage from any one incident that has occurred to the vehicle whilst it has been on hire. The security deposit is charged at the time of check out to your bank card and fully refunded once the vehicle is returned undamaged.
In the event of any loss or damage, the hirer is liable for up to the value of this amount.
• Any loss or damage to equipment, fixtures, fittings, windows, tyres or negligent damage to the vehicle
• Any road traffic violation administration fees
• Any cleaning fees
• Any refuelling costs
• Any late return fees
• Security deposits are held/charged in the local currency of the depot.
• Guests should allow up to 28 days for the security deposit to be released back into their account.
• In the event of an insurance claim, regardless of fault, the security deposit will be retained until the insurers have settled the claim. Please note, this can be a lengthy process and is out of Cookies Campers’ control
