Day 1: Dublin – First Taste of the City
Touch down in Dublin and collect your campervan from Cookies Campers, Dublin. Within minutes, you’ll be parked up and settled at Camac Valley Tourist Caravan & Camping Park, just a 5-minute drive from our depot and perfectly placed for exploring the capital.
Once you’re set up, hop on one of the regular buses straight into the city and dive into Dublin life.
Two must-see attractions sit close together and are well worth booking in advance:

Guinness Storehouse – iconic views and a perfect first pint

Kilmainham Gaol – a powerful insight into Irish history
Finish the day strolling along Grafton Street for music and atmosphere. For a proper Guinness, we love Kehoe’s Pub, or head to Dame Lane if you’re in the mood for lively bars and late-night buzz.
Day 2: Dublin to the Wicklow Mountains
One of the biggest perks of campervan rental in Dublin? You can leave the city behind in minutes.
Head south through the Dublin Mountains and stop at Ticknock Forest for a short walk and sweeping views over Dublin Bay.
Lough Tay (Guinness Lake)
Wind deeper into the Wicklow Mountains to Lough Tay, one of the most photographed spots in Ireland. It’s a favourite with our guests and perfect for those classic campervan shots. There’s a campervan-friendly parking area here if you choose to stay overnight.
Next, visit Powerscourt Waterfall, Ireland’s highest waterfall, tucked away in the Powerscourt Estate. It’s a popular stop for campervanners, so don’t be surprised if you end up swapping travel tips with fellow road-trippers.
Slow things down at Glendalough, where lakes, mountains and ancient ruins create one of the most peaceful landscapes in the country.
Park up for the night at Johnny Fox’s Pub. Campervans are welcome, parking is free, and the food, music and mountain atmosphere make this a memorable overnight stop.
Day 3: Wicklow Highlights & the East Coast
Drive the famous Sally Gap early for misty valleys and dramatic scenery — one of the most scenic drives in Ireland.
Stop for coffee and a wander at Avoca Handweavers, a Wicklow classic.
Avondale Treetop Walk – Stretch your legs at Avondale Treetop Walk, an elevated walkway offering incredible views over forest canopies and rolling countryside.
Brittas Beach – End the day beside the sea at Brittas Bay, a long, sandy beach that feels wonderfully unspoilt. Overnight parking is available at Jack White’s Pub — great food, live music at weekends, and a relaxed campervan-friendly stop. Call ahead during peak summer months to secure your space.
Day 4: Wicklow to Kilkenny City
Continue south to Kilkenny, where there’s a dedicated campervan aire right in the heart of the city — ideal for exploring on foot.
Visit Kilkenny Castle, then wander the medieval streets, packed with cafés, craft shops and historic buildings.
Before you leave, don’t miss Hole in the Wall Pub. This tiny pub is full of character, surprises and guaranteed craic — the perfect way to wrap up your first Irish campervan adventure.
